Priory Road held a street party to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in Europe Day
Itinerary for the day
| 12pm onwards | Setting up. Anyone able to help with this, please congregate in the road from 11.50am. We will be forming a double row of wheelie bins behind the road closure signs as an additional barrier to traffic. If you are able to lend your bin(s), please label with your house number in advance so it can be returned to the correct address afterwards. If you are feeling creative and also want to decorate it, feel free! Children are welcome to play in the road as soon as the barricades are in place. |
| 12.30–1.30pm | Football based activities available to 11’s and under |
| 12.30pm-2pm | Facepainting |
| By 1.50pm | Bring along entries for the Great Priory Road Bake Off |
| 2pm | Judging and presentation for the Bake Off |
| 2pm-2.30pm | Paper aeroplane making |
| 2.15pm | Slow Bike Race – helmets must be worn |
| 2.30pm | Red Arrows Paper Aeroplane distance contest |
| 2.45pm | Welly Wanging |
| 3.30-3.50pm | Bring food contributions to the food area |
| 4.00pm | Last post and minute’s silence followed by communal High Tea |
| 5.00pm | Tug of war – odd house numbers vs evens |
| 5.15pm | Egg throwing |
| 6.00pm | Family Quiz – max 4 adults per team |
| 7.00pm | Clearing away gazebos, food, rubbish etc |
| 8.00pm | Relax, bring out BBQs |
| 9.30pm | Final clearing away |
| 10.00pm | Road reopens to traffic |
