This shows a typical adult ration for a week and examples of local fruit and vegetables available in season.
17 children from Priory Road were invited for a wartime tea.
The children ate, for our "wartime meal", corn beef fritters, champ, and apple jelly
(followed by a celebration cake which was probably outside the ration portion!)
